Vacation Withdrawal

Poor pugs….I think they, especially Oscar, are having vacation withdrawal. They are used to 24/7 petting and keep looking at me with sad puppy-dog eyes. Poor babies. 😦

All in a Day’s Work

deer

Last Thursday afternoon, I stopped in Colorado Springs to visit a few offices before heading home. I went into an office I have been in a million times and was startled to see this deer right outside there front door! When I went in, I asked about her, and apparently she is a regular fixture in their front yard, and often has a family (two fawns and a buck) with her as well. As I was leaving, she got up and roamed around a bit, eating some leaves, before walking off. It was pretty cool!

Vacation Fun!

Jason and I spent the last week on vacation with his family and had a GREAT time! We rented a house up in the mountains of Colorado, and all 18 of us stayed together!! I’ll admit, I was a bit worried that we might not all get along with that many people in one house for 5 days, but it was wonderful!

One really great thing about this trip was that we got to bring the pugs!! I hate leaving them when we travel, so it was fun to have them go along. I was nervous how they would act around so many kids (Oscar isn’t a big fan of kids), but they did great and loved all the attention!

One of our activities of the week: horseback riding. Very fun!!

We also played a lot of Guitar Hero World Tour. It was so funny to see the kids belt out “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “Beat It.”

035

We took a lot of walks, and the kids often fought over who would walk Daisy and Oscar.

The house was in the national forest on this pretty little lake with the mountains in the background. It was a beautiful location and a great, much-needed get-away.

We did several other fun activities, but I will have to wait to get pictures of those. It was a wonderful week, and we miss everyone so  much!

HOT Texas!

Well, I am headed to Texas for a wedding this weekend, and it is going to be HOT! It was 109 degrees there yesterday and is forecasted to be 109 again today! AHHHHH! Makes me very thankful I live in Colorado and not in Texas any longer. On the Today show, they said the south is experiencing the hottest temperatures in ten years!! It will be a quick trip, but I am excited to see the fam.

Hope you all have a great weekend! Stay cool!
